Medindi Manor Invites You to Welcome The Summer in Cape Town!

Here’s a brief look at three amazing events happening in Cape Town this month that you and your family ought not to miss.

For sporting and outdoor enthusiasts, the Wine2Whales Mountain Bike Race combines competitive physical activity with the very best of Cape Town’s beautiful scenery. The race takes place over three days (from Friday, 12 November to Sunday, 14 November), in which teams of 2 cyclists cover about 230km of the Cape Winelands, including 13 wineries, 26 private farms, six mountains, various historic roads and passes, and nature conservation areas, before finishing up in Hermanus.

For the less active and more festive, this weekend (5 to 7 November) is the last weekend of the Cape Town International Festival at the Good Hope Centre. There are more than 100 exhibitors from six different countries and foreign manufacturers selling direct to the public, including fashion wear, home décor, leather garments, jewellery and much more besides.

Finally, later this month marks the start of the world famous Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts. Starting on 21 November, you, your family and your friends can enjoy a wide variety of musical delights (from rock to pop to jazz) in the open-air amphitheatre set in Kirstenbosch’s exquisite botanical gardens. Bring a picnic basket and a bottle of wine, and prepare to listen to the likes of Mango Groove, Freshly Ground, Jack Parow, Jesse Clegg, Goldfish, and the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra.

If you're thinking of attending any of these events, why not book your accommodation with us at Medindi Manor (http://www.medindimanor.com/)? You may be especially interested in our current Weekender Special, where you pay for Friday night and get Saturday night free (for terms and conditions see our website). Based at the intersection of Rondebosch and Rosebank, our luxury boutique hotel at affordable guest house prices is the perfect place from which to base your exploration of Cape Town and to enjoy all these activities.
